Our experience in Copenhagen

We were five midwifery students who got the opportunity to attend the NJF2025 congress in Copenhagen because we are part of the project Healthy Birth. It was both exciting and educational. We also got to present our preliminary findings from the project. It was very rewarding to get the opportunity to present at the congress. It sparked greater interest in research, which is something we’re eager to continue working on going forward.

To attend the congress as student midwives was amazing. We got to hear about the newest results in research and listen to midwives whose research we are familiar with and who we look up to. It was inspiring to see how maternity care is organized in different Nordic countries. We have gained new knowledge that will benefit our professional development and enrichen our work as midwives. We got inspired and also proud that we ourselves are becoming midwives and get to be part of this amazing profession.
